300th Anniversary of Discovery of Platte River

The city of Plattsmouth is hosting events on Saturday, June 21st and Sunday June 22nd to commemorate the 300th Anniversary of the discovery of the Platte River which occurred on June 16, 1714. Saturday's events include fun activities and displays at the Cass County Museum in Plattsmouth from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday's events include exhibits and food at Schilling Wildlife Management Area from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a program being held at 6:00 p.m. Senator Mike Johanns, a representative from the Otoe of the Platte and the French Consul will make speeches at that time. All events are open to the public.
